Despite the fact that the four diets are restrictive at different levels, they all ask people to cut carbs, eat more meat, and avoid processed food. These diets are challenging for people to adhere to long-term with such restrictions.

Comparatively, paleo diet and south beach diet have more scientific proof and are less extreme compared to others. A low-carb diet follower should supplement themselves with extra vitamins, considering the fact that these diets often exclude important elements, such as grains or vegetables.
